By becoming a Student Ambassador and sharing your unique perspective, you'll be playing a vital part in showcasing Wrexham Glyndwr University to the next generation of students, encouraging them to study and live here and enjoy similar experiences.

What does it involve?

Your main role is to inspire the next generation of students to join us here at Wrexham Glyndwr University. 

Depending on your skill set and interests, duties can include:

  • sharing your positive experiences with potential students at open days, UCAS fairs and visits to schools and colleges
  • assisting the admissions team with a variety of administrative tasks
  • posting to our Instagram feed as one of our #WGUInsiders
  • answering potential students’ questions online as one of our Unibuddy team
  • modelling in promotional photo shoots and videos
  • being interviewed for videos, press releases, case studies

Not only will your help be invaluable to our Communications, Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions team but being a Student Ambassador can be great for your own personal development.  It will help you to develop teamwork, communication and motivational skills which will prove to be useful in your future career – and look great on your CV.

Will I need to be trained?

Yes, everything you’ll be asked to do will be covered with training or on-the-day briefings.

Will I get paid?

Yes, Student Ambassadors earn £9.50 per hour.
