Following recent changes in the department, we are now seeking a lecturer specialising in cognitive psychology to join the team delivering the BSc Psychology (BPS accredited). We seek to appoint individuals with vision who can contribute to the development of the programme and contribute to the development and growth of the department and contribute to a range of modules across the BPS core curriculum.

You will combine a passion for teaching and research. The successful candidate will assume a key role in the planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of the programme modules. They will work with students, team members and colleagues across the wider University to ensure a positive experience for students, monitor student recruitment and retention and address all University quality assurance processes.

Successful applicants with either hold or be working towards a PhD in psychology and will plan, teach and assess modules across the BSc Psychology programme within the School of Social and Life Sciences.  Teaching and learning experience within the Higher Education sector would be an advantage, as would experience of developing or leading programmes.

The role is varied and challenging, so you will be need to be a highly self-motivated individual who is able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team.   You will have outstanding communication and organisational skills and an eye for detail.
