The Finance Team provides all of the financial support to the University encompassing the Budgeting, Monitoring and Reporting of all financial information. Alongside the transactional services of Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this pivotal role supports the delivery of the University’s Finance Strategy through the process of annual budget setting, management account production and regular statistical reporting within tight timeframes.

We are looking for a candidate with strong technical focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels as the role involves providing technical advice, guidance and support on all management accounting matters both within and outside the Finance Department as well as liaising with external bodies on financial performance matters.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Finance Business Partnering / Management Accounting processes and procedures with the ability to consider the wider impact of reporting decisions across a range of stakeholders.

Previous working experience of accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel is a requirement of the post.

This is an ideal opportunity for an established Accountant/Business Partner or newly qualified Accountant moving into a more senior role. If you have well-developed technical, interpersonal and team working skills that can actively contribute to the University’s priorities and with the ability to work effectively across teams to achieve shared goals, this could be the role for you.
