Campus 2025 outlines a phased programme of investment in the estate in order to create a high quality physical environment to attract students, staff and the wider community to study, work and visit.

The University therefore wishes to appoint a highly experienced and motivated Capital Projects Manager to join the team, to successfully deliver assigned capital projects in accordance with established programmes, timescales, budgets and quality levels.

The workload will include minor, intermediate, and major construction projects, ranging in value from c£25K to c£10M+. Projects will vary but will include refurbishment, extension and reconfiguration of existing buildings, as well as new-build projects. 

Working to the Executive Director of Operations, the post holder will be responsible for the complete ownership and management of the project life cycle, from inception to occupation. This includes the management of the brief, design, procurement, construction, contract administration and occupation processes, often involving multiple stakeholders at each stage.

With significant experience in construction and project management in a similar role, the successful candidate must be willing and able to operate at both a strategic and operational level, with the ability to communicate clearly, exerting authority as necessary.
