This role presents an opportunity to join the University’s Student Record Systems (SRS) Team to shape developments within the core student record management system, SITS.

The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic and multi-skilled team and will have a key role in delivering system improvements to transform the student experience by providing a modern, web-based user experience within e:Vision, the SITS web portal.

Knowledge and experience of the SITS records system would be desirable; however, we are happy to consider candidates with a background in IT project work and development and who can rapidly learn and adapt to using new systems.

The post holder will work as part of a small development team within SRS and report to the Senior Developer. The development team will work on identifying and making efficiencies to current systems and processes, as well as being given the lead on business improvement projects. This will be in collaboration with staff across the University, both within the Strategic Planning & Student Administration (SPSA) directorate and other professional services (including IT and Finance) as well as with academic colleagues.

This is a post where technical expertise and knowledge are necessary, along with a creative and flexible approach to problem solving. The successful candidate will be required to work independently to deliver agreed projects, as well as providing a one-team approach to support with SRS team objectives.

Blended (hybrid) working arrangements are available, which involves a combination of on and off Campus working subject to operational requirements.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this role.
