The Strategic Planning and Student Administration Directorate is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University and in working with Faculties to support growth, innovation and development. The work of the directorate is based on the following principles:

•    Increase self-service for students and staff

•    Expectation of continuous adaptation and change.

The Directorate has a vacancy for a Senior Planning Officer (Maternity Cover). This is a full-time role for 12 months that will sit alongside two similar posts reporting to the Planning and Reporting Manager. This team will be responsible for providing a wide range of data analysis, reporting and business intelligence to support the university’s strategic planning processes and strategic priorities. This includes the production of statutory university returns, market intelligence and student number planning. Post-holders will be expected to work across all areas, although recognising that particular specialisms will be developed according to skills, priorities and direction from the Planning and Reporting Manager.

The role will play a key part in this exciting and challenging area. As such, key amongst the attributes are: being a creative and confident thinker; personal dynamism and innovative outlook; and ability to adopt a flexible and positive approach.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
