We are looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic Lecturer in Data Science and Big Data Analytics to support the development and delivery of our growing undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
Globally there is a growing demand for Data Scientists requiring interdisciplinary skills and knowledge from statistics, software programming, databases and using modern data analysis and visualisation technologies and our programmes are aimed to target this demand from the data science sector.
Applicants should hold a good first degree in Computer Science or another closely-related discipline, and either hold a PhD or be prepared to work towards one.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge of the Data Science area, have proven communication and organisational skills, and be able and willing to fully participate in the design and delivery of a modular curriculum that positively enhances the student experience across our Computing portfolio.
The role is varied and challenging, so you will need to be a highly-motivated individual who is able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
