Wrexham Glyndwr University (WGU) is delighted to be in a position to advertise for a technician in Clinical Skills and Simulated Practice within the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences’ Nursing and Allied Health Professions department.
The Clinical Skills and Simulated Practice Technician will work closely with the Nursing and Allied Health Faculty members. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day technical support in the running of the Clinical Skills Suite in relation to setting up for sessions, maintaining equipment and assisting in the delivery, evaluation, monitoring and quality control of teaching and learning provision. The role holder will ensure that resources are appropriately utilised within relevant simulation areas and provide an efficient service, ensuring that all equipment and resources are available, and the request is appropriate, technical support can be offered and the booking is viable. They will train staff and students in the appropriate use of equipment and relevant health and safety processes and procedures. They will assist academic staff in the preparation of teaching and learning materials.
This role will be working at Wrexham and St Asaph.
