Shift working up to 55 hours per week

Security Guard required to work as part of an established security team, which deliver a security provision and security presence across Glyndwr University. The role of Security Guard offers a wide range of duties but primarily, a key part of the position is to offer a comprehensive and high quality service, as well as providing a safe, pleasant and professional environment for both staff and students to carry out their activities. 

Responsibilities will include matters relating to the safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors. The post holder would be responsible for the security of University buildings and other property on and off Campus; the control of traffic and parking; car park maintenance and reception duties as required. In addition, they would be responsible to provide cover for the Security Control Room, operating all functions including radio, deployment, CCTV, alarm management systems, incident recording, access control, and telephones. 

The successful candidate would be required to operate within a rolling shift pattern inclusive of days, nights and weekends. With an average of 55 hours per week.

Driving licence and SIA Licence are essential for this role. 

Welsh language skills are desirable for this post and great customer service skills are required.
