The Information Governance and Compliance team is a recently enhanced function within the Legal, Governance and Compliance section of the University with an exciting remit to strengthen and improve centralised university functions, to provide a more effective and efficient structure and approach to delivering important aspects of strategic legal and compliance areas across the University.

As a new enhanced function, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Information Governance and Compliance Manager to lead on the University’s operational responses to statutory requests and reports under FOIA, UK GDPR and DPA 2018 legislative requirements. The post holder will also lead and manage the team on compliance and regulatory matters to include the Companies Act, Charities Act, Welsh Language standards, insurance claims, risk management, policy regulation and contract management.

As the manager of the team, you will demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse stakeholder group including academic research, professional services, and our subsidiaries.

You should have previous experience of working in information compliance, governance and the legislation that underpins it.  If you see yourself as the person who would relish the opportunity to form and influence new policies procedures and guidelines to support these regulated activities do apply for this role.
