Bu Prifysgol Glyndwr Wrecsam yn llwyddiannus yn ei chais prosiect drwy Gymunedau Gwledig Llywodraeth Cymru – Rhaglen Datblygu Gwledig 2014-2020, a ariennir gan Gronfa Amaethyddol Ewrop ar gyfer Datblygu Gwledig a Llywodraeth Cymru. Nod y prosiect hwn yw datblygu clystyrau o fusnesau garddwriaeth sy'n ymwneud ag estyn oes silff cynnyrch a lleihau gwastraff cynaeafu.

Bydd y Swyddog Datblygu Prosiect yn gyswllt â busnesau a rhanddeiliaid eraill, gan drefnu digwyddiadau a hyfforddiant a chynnal y gronfa ddata o randdeiliaid.

Mae'r swydd hon yn swydd newydd bwysig yn y diwydiant garddwriaeth yng Nghymru ac mae'n gyfle gwych i ddatblygu strategaethau cadwyni cyflenwi.

Temporary position until February 2020, 32 hours per week

Wrexham Glyndwr University has been successful in its project application through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. The aim of this project is to develop clusters of horticulture businesses involved in increasing product shelf life and reducing harvest waste.

The Project Development Officer will provide liaison with businesses and other stakeholders, organising events and training and maintaining the stakeholder database.

This post is an important new role in the Welsh horticulture industry and represents a significant opportunity to develop the strategies of supply chains.
