This post is a 0.6 maternity cover until March 2020.  

The role of Academic Skills Tutor is an exciting opportunity to assist the Academic Support Manager and University Librarian in supporting and guiding students to achieve academic success at Wrexham Glyndwr University.

As part of the Information Services team, the Academic Skills Tutor will play a pivotal role in providing, maintaining and enhancing the student experience and engagement by meeting the needs of all students through the delivery of a comprehensive range of customer focused Information services (digital and physical information). The post holder will also help to provide a supportive learning environment that ensures the on-going support to students, actively contributing to their success and retention.

You will have knowledge, understanding and experience of the library and information/academic skills context in the post 16 learning environment. Possessing excellent communication and customer service skills you should be able to work as part of a team or independently.

You should be ICT proficient with a working knowledge of MS Office and social media applications.

Interviews will be held on 4th September 2019. 

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role.
