The new Directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration is currently being set up. This will be at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University and in working with Faculties to support growth, innovation and development. It will be looking to work in new ways and is predicated upon the following principles:

•           Simplification of processes

•           Process automation wherever possible

•           Increase self-service for students and staff

•           Expectation of continuous adaptation and change.


The Directorate has a vacancy for a Student Finance Administrator. This is a part time role that will provide support in relation to student finance and fee related tasks. Reporting to the Student Records Systems Manager Developer, this post will ensure that student data is correct, allocating student fee status and invoicing of accurate fees. The Post-holder will also be expected to work alongside other colleagues to investigate and rectify discrepancies.

The role will play a key part in this exciting and challenging development within the University. As such, key amongst the attributes are: excellent attention to detail, a good understanding of the student journey within Higher Education, the ability to manage own workload and the ability to adopt a flexible and positive approach.

Interviews will be held on 07 October 2019.

Welsh language skills are desirable for this post, however they are not essential.
