An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3 Lecturer Practitioners to join the Occupational Therapy Tutor Team. These posts are designed to attract Occupational Therapy Practitioners who wish to combine their role with a lecturing position on the pre-registration BSc Hons Occupational Therapy degree programmes. The posts are permanent and each offers different hours per working week comprising of a 1 day, 2 day and 3 day post.

The successful applicants will join the team as student numbers increase and we continue to develop a strong portfolio within the faculty, alongside other allied health programmes. The department prides itself on a student-centred practice and the tutor team is committed to delivering high quality occupational therapy education across the subject area. The tutor team aims to generate occupational therapy graduate practitioners who are fit for contemporary practice in health and social care and beyond into the independent / third sector.

We are looking for 3 practitioners who bring a wealth and breadth of experience with strong clinical knowledge and skills, underpinned with a sound philosophy and occupational science base. The successful applicants will be expected to inspire and motivate students to the role of occupational therapy and nurture students who are resilience and fit for the demands of practice. The role of each post holder will deliver core teaching responsibilities  based on clinical expertise, specialisms and professional knowledge more broadly. Teaching and lecturing experience is desirable but all applicants should have experience in facilitating practice-based learning with students and regularly engage with taking students on placement. There will be an expectation that post holders will also support students whilst on placement and will have skills and attributes to work in partnership with our placement providers developing opportunities from within practice.

The successful applicant's will have either studied or be in the process of studying at masters level in a subject related to occupational therapy.
