This is an exciting opportunity to join the directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration (SPSA) which is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University.
The Senior Student Finance Administrator (Maternity Cover) role will be in the Student Record Systems team, within the Transactional Operations team, primarily supporting key Student Record functions and Student Loan Company processes with varied activities including supporting departmental Student Record administration.
This is a responsible, demanding and pivotal position within the Transactional Operations team and you will be responsible for key Student Record processing, maintenance and analysis of all student fee information to ensure that correct information is available to the Student Loan Company (SLC), sponsors, students and for finance to undertake the required invoicing. Given the importance of student fee income to the University this is a role where decisions and actions will have a significant impact for the University.
The successful candidate will have be a true team player, will have excellent customer service skills. They will be able to learn new skills and processes quickly and apply these effectively as well as possess the ability to troubleshoot and independently problem solve. Time management and the ability to prioritise and meet concurrent demands and deadlines is essential to meet the needs of this role.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
